Nevta St. Xavier's Activity November 2017

 CHILDREN'S DAY CELEBRATION 

Children are the best gift bestowed by our almighty on us. The birthday of our country’s first Prime Minister,Pandit  Jawaharlal Nehru is celebrated as Children’s day all over the  country. In a bid  to celebrate this day in our school, teachers along with the management  staff came together to present a short cultural programme.

The programme began with a prayer song by the teachers. This song was followed by variety of splendid performances where in teachers presented a fusion dance, and a medley.

  Father Principal gave an emboldening message in his speech which was followed by a DJ party for students .

All the students were elated and enjoyed the day. They were grateful to the teachers and the management for their efforts to make this day an unforgettable one.
 
THIRD ANNUAL SPORTS DAY
 
 
 
 
 

St.Xavier's school ,Nevta witnessed an enthralling 3rd Annual Sports Day in its premises.Brigadier Padam Singh Shekhawat BGS (Operations) ,an alumnus of St.Xavier's School (1984 batch) graced the occasion as the chief guest. The event showcased various mesmerizing programme such as March Past wherein students participated in the parade beaming with pride and confidence.The colourful fusion drill, Aerobics,Karate,Yoga  displayed the spellbound co-ordination by students.The track events such as obstacles race, puzzle race, relay race, teachers- parents race etc proved to be  extremely thrilling. The chief guest congratulated and emboldened the students for the surreal performance by everyone and emphasized the importance of sports in everyone's life.
Father John Ravi addressed the gathering and said " Sports gives us all the ability to test ourselves mentally, physically and emotionally in a way no other aspect of life can. For many of us who struggle with ‘fitting in’ or our identity – sports gives us our first face of confidence. That first bit of confidence can be a gateway to many other great things. It is a way of self exploration. Xavier's believe in nurturing students through sports along with academics to face this changing and challenging world with zeal."

The programme concluded with the award ceremony for various events.
The Best Disciplined House trophy was grabbed by Greens whereas Best House (All Over Sports) was awarded to Blues.

 

KAVI SAMMELAN

Kavi sammelan is a gathering of poets in Hindi speaking belts of northern India. These poets recite their poetry specifically dedicated to comedy (Hasya) and hindi satire( Vyanga). In a bid to give exposure to the students about the same, St. Xavier's  school, Nevta also organized this programme in its premises for its own students. The students of class VI to IX participated in this competition with great fervor. They recited their poetry on various aspects of life, politics,the present socio-economic plight of our country etc .Every budding poet succeeded to enchant the audience. The voice modulation, intonation, gestures and expressions left everyone dumbstruck. The winners were awarded and felicitated by Father Principal who motivated  and appreciated the students .
