A stark reality of Independence day....So terrible a day for millions in India and Pakistan. A people that were lived together have now divided. There were violence and hatred in the name of religion. People who lived together till then started treating each other as enemies. In fact they looked at each other with suspecion. The in human treatment was worse than one can meted out to an animal......! Are there signs of such division rising its heads again? Do not we see people are getting more and more polarised in the name of religion? See the treatment on Dalits and Tribal, Minorities and marginalised.... Can we afford another fateful day? Do not we have the responsibility to strengthen our living together more than ever? 
Let this independence day be a new beginning of reconciliation, forgiveness and Mercy. Let us avoid hatred and communal polarisation. Let us pledge that we as a nation uphold peace and harmony. Let us vow to make India a prosperous nation by having a positive outlook on communities and people. Let this independence day be of our resolve to defeat the communal and religious bigotry and those who divide our people and gain their power and position. Let us be true Indians who work for the betterment of all and welfare of the Nation.
