St Xavier's Gandhinagar, Gujarat, celebrates Annual sports day 2016.

It was an exciting Saturday for the xaveirites and texa group of Gandhi Nagar.
We had the honour of having Mr J.K.Gadhavi IAS Commissioner of schools...Gujarat
 state.as the chief guest .He was flanked by hon fr fernand Durai as our guest of honour for the day The day began with the March past led by our school.captain Renison Macwan followed by four groups and their leaders in in four different colours Blue Green Red Yellow as the order depicting fame peace zest and vigour . Discipline .Order and Uniformity were the hall.mark of the parade Red and Green went for a tie by scoring highest points in March past but eventually judges decided to.give the red group as winners..
Followed by lighting of the torch hoisting of the school flag and declaring the sports meet open by our esteemed chief guest.. The Olympic oath was administered by Riza Vohra. 
Colourful synchronised drills were performed by the primary classes ...
They were led by very dedicated enthusiastic teachers.of the middle school section. .Primary teachers were on their toes helping out the smaller ones to.participate in potato race dragging the dumbbells wearing daddy's shirt etc.....
These drills and the variety of sports enthralled the audience to the utmost 
Multiple sports events went on simultaneously on the ground  
Our sports instructor Kiran Sir Mrs Saroj jhala deserve a round of applause as their hard work paid of well 
Our chief guest emphasized how sports and learning go hand in hand and stressed on a  healthy mind and body 
Our respected fr Durai laid stress on how good academics is reflected on the sports field. Our vice principal fr Noel.played a major role in the smooth conduct of the well organized event...
