Feast Day Celebrated at Gandhi Nagar St. Xavier's School

Every Catholic school has a patron saint and st.xavier's high school Gandhi Nagar celebrated this day with an interreligious prayer service in honour of the patron saint Francis Xavier.
Xavier community comprising of staff teachers and management gathered at the entrance of the large bronze statue of Francis Xavier and participated in this service..
Hymns in different known languages set the ambience , petitions followed by readings from the Holy Bible ,Quran,Bhagwat Great were proclaimed by teachers and students
As a family we prayed for the sick and asked God to touch our lives for strength and Grace.
Our newly transferred principal Fr Fernand Durai gave us  a wonderful reflection on the life and significance of our patron saint the co founder of Jesuit order in Europe.
It became obvious through his words of praise,his extensive knowledge of the saints
After the prayer meeting our school community walked towards the theatre hall for a festive refreshment 
On this day we the Xaveirites take time to pray reflect eat and remember as a community the special significance of the school patron   It is a tradition that will continue for many years to.come.
