ROBOTICS CLUB IN ST. LAWRENCE HIGH SCHOOL

 

The students of St. Lawrence High School were much surprised and happy at the introduction of the Robotics Club on 31st March, 2016. The students displayed a great deal of talent while displaying their inventions and exploring the world of Robotics.

 

TIN AND CAN EVENT IN ST. LAWRENCE HIGH SCHOOL

 

For the first time ever St. Lawrence High School introduced the “Tin and Can” event where students who are not professional players were given the opportunity to play football and showcase their talent on 23rd April. The teachers, non-teaching staff and the Sloba members also played against each other and these matches were the show-stopper matches of the day.

 

EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO CHINA

 

On 3rd May, a special assembly was held in St. Lawrence High School where Reverend Fr. Sebastian James S. J., Principal formally announced the honour given to St. Lawrence High School by Mr. Ma Zhanwu, Hon’ble Consulate General of China. For the first time Higher Secondary students of the school were invited for a fully sponsored educational trip to China by his Excellency. St. Lawrence considers itself privileged to have got such an opportunity. The felicitation of Lu Xin, Vice Minister of Education at Beijing by the PrincipalFr. Sebastian James, SJ.

          

STUDENTS’ EXCHANGE PROGRAMME WITH CHINA

MATHS SEMINAR IN ST. LAWRENCE HIGH SCHOOL – Chapter II

 

On 26th July 2016, St. Lawrence High School hosted a seminar on maths: ‘A Number Of Fun With Numbers’. It was a unique effort made by the school. This is the second successful year of the seminar.

 

ST. LAWRENCE DAY CELEBRATION (9TH AUGUST, 2016)

 

 St. Lawrence High School celebrated St. Lawrence Day on 9th of August. It was the second successful year of such an extravagant programme.

 

VISIT OF ROKO HIGH SCHOOL, KOBE JAPAN TO ST. LAWRENCE HIGH SCHOOL

 

It was a great privilege of St. Lawrence High School to welcome the students and teachers of Rokko High School from Kobe in Japan. Twenty four students along with Reverend Fr. Akamatsu Hiromasa and three teachers visited St. Lawrence High School on 11th August, 2016.

 

 

 

SLOBA DEBATE

 

The 10th prestigious Sloba (St. Lawrence Old Boys’ Association) Debate Competition was held on 14th of August, 2016 at the Wavreil hall.

 

 

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION IN ST. LAWRENCE HIGH SCHOOL

 

The 69th Independence Day was celebrated in St. Lawrence High School with much vigour and enthusiasm. Patriotic songs were sung and scriptures from various religious texts were read out stressing on national integration and universal brotherhood. The programme was concluded by a fancy dress competition.

 

63RD INTER-JESUIT SPEECH AN ELOCUTION COMPETITION

 

St. Lawrence High School was a part of the prestigious 63nd Inter-Jesuit Elocution and Essay competition which took place in St. Xaviers, Sahibganjon 27th of August, 2016. Three students represented our school in the Junior Level Elocution, Senior Level Elocution and the Debate competition respectively. All the students performed brilliantly and Saukarya Samad of                        St. Lawrence secured the 3nd position in the essay competition.

 

BIDDING ADIEU TO CLASS 12 STUDENTS

 

The students of Class 12 were taken down memory lane with a grand farewell. The students were at their best and gave some great performances on stage. It was a mesmerising programme after which the students were treated to some sumptuous snacks.

 

VISIT OF DR. JAYDEEP MUKHERJEE (Director of Florida Space Grant Consortium)

The students of St. Lawrence High School had the privilege of having Dr. Jaydeep Mukherjee (Director of Florida Space Grant Consortium) to take an interactive session on the ‘International Space Station’. The students benefitted greatly from the information, lectures and experiences of Dr. Jaydeep, which have in turn helped them to understand difficult concepts in Science.

 

ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION IN ST. LAWRENCE HIGH SCHOOL

        

The academic year 2016 of St. Lawrence High School came to an end by a mesmerising Annual Day Programme of the Primary and Secondary section on the 17th and 18th of December 2017 respectively. Parents greatly appreciated the programme and students displayed extraordinary talent on stage.

 

ANNUAL SPORTS DAY IN ST. LAWRENCE HIGH SCHOOL

 

 The Annual Sports Day of the Secondary, Higher Secondary and the Primary section took place on the 4th and 5th of February, 2017 respectively.

 

VISIT TO HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY OF INDIA

                                  

On 16th February, 2017, sixty-five students of classes VI, VII and VIII belonging to the Nature Club of St. Lawrence High School were taken on a visit to the Agri Horticultural Society of India.

 

 

SCHOOL PICNIC OF ST. LAWRENCE HIGH SCHOOL

 

The school picnic of St. Lawrence High School took place on 13th of February, 2017. All the teaching and non-teaching staff members of the class were taken to Indira Garden, Bajbaj. It was a fun filled day full of laughter, songs, dance and relaxation.

 

 

 ST. FRANCIS XAVIER GLOBAL INSTAGRAM COMPETITION

 

St. Lawrence High School participated in the St. Francis Xavier Global Instagram Competition on  3rd December 2016 and was declared winners, winning the first prize across pan Asia. Teachers and Students put in a great deal of effort to think out of the box to win this prestigious global award. The school was awarded with a special ‘Magis Certificate’ from Educate Magis.  Heartiest Congratulations to the teachers and students for their creativity, zeal and enthusiasm!

 

SCHOOL INFRASTRUCTURE

 

The school authorities have given St. Lawrence a facelift and have provided state of the art facilities for teachers and students to transform the teaching and learning process into a joyful experience. A new e-library, Windows lab, Apple lab, i-pad lab, Chemistry, Biology and Physics lab has been set up for the benefit of the teaching and student fraternity where subject related concepts are being explained with the help of ‘Augmented reality’. All classrooms are having smart boards which are further linked to the school curriculum and syllabus. The school is also having a website – www.stlawrencehighschool.edu.in that is regularly updated with the recent events, announcement, news, class wise syllabus and solved terminal Question and Answers.
