Shahu Tushar Mane an ex-student of our St. Xavier’s High School, Kolhapur bagged Silver Medal at the Youth Olympic Games 2018 held in Buenos Aires, Argentina between 6 and 18 October 2018.

Prestigious Einstein Prize for Ex-Xavierite Professor Abhay Ashtekar

Over four decades after he began his scientific engagement with gravitational science, Professor Abhay Ashtekar received the prestigious Einstein Prize conferred by the American Physical Society (APS). The prize for 2018, carries an award of $10,000. “The prize is special because is it the highest honour bestowed by APS in the broad area of gravitational science.

Teachers Day 2018: Who Was Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and Why We Dedicate This Day to Teachers?

In the year 1962, when Dr. Radhakrishnan assumed his office, the first ever teachers day was celebrated.

Teachers’ day is celebrated across India on 5th September, every year, which is also the birthday of former President, teacher, educator and scholar Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.


Mother Teresa was regarded and adored as the ‘Saint of the Gutters’ even when she was alive. Officially acknowledging her as a Saint is a fitting tribute to someone who has meant the world to millions all over, very specially to the poor and the marginalized; to the excluded and the rejected!
