    Fr. Samuel Rayan SJ, a great Theologian of Asia is no more

     Jesuit Father Samuel Rayan SJ, a renowned proponent of liberation theology, died on January 2. He was 98.

    He died around noon at Nirmala Hospital, Kozhikode, Kerala, where he was undergoing treatment for old age ailments for months.

    Shahu Tushar Mane an ex-student of our St. Xavier’s High School, Kolhapur bagged Silver Medal at the Youth Olympic Games 2018 held in Buenos Aires, Argentina between 6 and 18 October 2018.

    Over four decades after he began his scientific engagement with gravitational science, Professor Abhay Ashtekar received the prestigious Einstein Prize conferred by the American Physical Society (APS). The prize for 2018, carries an award of $10,000. “The prize is special because is it the highest honour bestowed by APS in the broad area of gravitational science.
